A reminder to keep an eye on your outdoor lamp post. Please replace any burned out bulbs promptly -- thank you! This will help make our community more secure. Please help watch your neighbors property. We have had a few things stolen/vandalized. Please, if you see something/someone suspicious, please help us all out and ask questions.
Open Board Position
This fall marks the end of John Mullens term on the HOA board so nominations are being accepted for this position. John has not decided as to whether he will run again or not.
This would be for a three-year term, with the majority of time commitment coming around Sept/Oct with the annual meeting.
Please call Matt McQuiston at Kirkpatrick if you would like to be placed on the ballot. Other questions can be directed to John, Darcy, or Greg.
To run for a board position, you have to be a homeowner and have current good standing with the homeowners association (dues paid).
New ACC Positions
We are going to create a new Architectural Control Committee. We are looking for 3 interested people to be the ACC members. This would entail receiving ACC submissions/requests, meeting as the committee to decide whether or not the project does not violate covenants and follows the ACC guidelines. In addition, at the beginning, the ACC will meet with the Board to create a new comprehensive list of guidelines. This list will be based on the existing guidelines, precedence set, and/or the ACC survey that was completed by the homeowners a couple of years ago. PLEASE consider this, we need people to help. Dont think that someone else will do it! This committee is required for the HOA to function properly.
Please call Matt McQuiston at Kirkpatrick if you would like to be placed on the ballot. Other questions can be directed to John, Darcy, or Greg.
To run for an ACC position, you have to be a homeowner and have current good standing with the homeowners association (dues paid).
Schools in Session Drive Carefully!
Drivers, please watch your speed during morning and evening hours while driving through your neighborhood. We have many children out at bus stops or playing while the weather is still nice.
Leaky Faucets
Anyone having trouble with leaky shower faucets? The replacement parts for the single-handled Moen version faucets can be found at J & J Plumbing in Plainfield. They can even rebuild the main cartridge, saving you $30 over a replacement. Be sure to ask about a Cartridge Pulling Tool!
LAWSUIT
The attorney representing the Country Walk Homeowners Association will be present at the annual meeting. The litigation is ongoing. Due to possible mis-understandings, we will not discuss the lawsuit in detail hear, but can answer some questions at the annual meeting. Please attend to that you can hear (from the horses mouth) what the current issues are. Please do not concede to gossip. There are many "stories" circulating the neighborhood. Please plan on attending the annual meeting.
